At Breakaway Retreats, our team of passionate professionals pride themselves in supporting clients to have the best possible respite stay with us.
Jane McFadden is a psychologist and owner of Breakaway Retreats. She has one child on the NDIS and worked in mental health within the disability space for the past 15 years.⠀
Jane is really passionate about parents, parents with children with special needs and parents needing a break. Which is why she created Breakaway Retreats to cater specifically to those families.⠀
Tina is our care coordinator and has worked in Human Services for 8 years, whilst being in the disability sector for 4 years.
“My father has a disability and is wheelchair-bound. I have seen firsthand the effects this can have on someone’s life and the difficulties they have in understanding the complexities of the NDIS. My passion is in people and seeing them thrive and living their best life. “

She found the time to study the Indonesian language in her early years of teaching, before she had children. Obviously. Before teaching she completed a Bachelor of Journalism.
