“I have been on many respite stays and Breakaway Retreats is by far my favourite. The customer service received from Andre was amazing and I felt like my needs were really listened to and met. I appreciated the fact that with Breakaway Retreats I had a choice of activities that matched my interests and got to experience and tick things off my bucket list. I can't wait for my next respite stay with them in October.”
“Thank you so much for organising such a lovely little getaway for A! She had a fabulous time and spent the 2 days waking up to a wonderful sunrise, walked to Bronte and back catching up on much needed mother daughter time. We had our nails done, ate like Queens, we didn't succeed with shopping but hopefully this weekend after our gold class movie. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart for this very special retreat for my girl. A is looking forward to her next one. (trust me, she will nag me till the day she goes)”
“My son recently stayed with Breakaway Retreats in Sunshine Coast for over a week where he got to take his own carer and had the best experience. He has a therapy dog who was allowed to stay with him which not may respites offer. Their Sunshine Coast respite has an amazing pool so he still got to do his Hydrotherapy exercises. Its a two minute walk to the beach so he got to walk on the beach daily and thoroughly enjoyed his day trip to Australia Zoo. We would highly recommend Breakaway Retreats if you are looking for respite for yourself or your loved ones.”
“Thank you for letting me stay at your STA this last weekend. I had such a lovely and relaxing time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was all so perfect. I feel that being able to experience the respite and the wonderful activity that was planned makes me feel alive and human so thank you for that.”
What is Short Term Accommodation?
Short Term Accommodation (STA) is designed to give both you and your support network a well deserved break. The NDIS provides funding for STA which covers the cost of support, accommodation, meals and activities away from your usual home for up to 28 days per year.
STA can provide you with an opportunity to try a new environment, new activities and provides care staff when your usual carers are not available.
At Breakaway Retreats we work hard to ensure that our Short Term Accommodation feels like a home from home.
